True Love, Best Friends, Brothers forever. Leo's tears embrace all of Darrell's Love.

Twins Forever, Love Derick

Twins Forever
I love my twin the most of anyone.
Born minutes apart, our bond is so special.
Our whispered secrets, our special language,
our tears and laughter unite us all our lives.
We mirror and affirm each other,
walking hand in hand, hearts in tune,
my twin is "my other half",
I’m not whole until we are together on the other side,
Love you,
Derick

Derick code for, HELLO.

Ying Yang

Darrell was drawn to the Ying Yang. He had a tattoo and a necklace.  I am sure there were other things that came and went of  the ying yang during his life.

Found a love for Golf

Darrell and Leo had started getting into golfing together.

Darrell Loved to Fish

Darrell has Gone Fishin'

Darrell loved to fish with his Dad,

Derick , Leo, friends, the guy sitting

next to him. But, he loved to tell

fish

stories to his Uncle Richard and he

loved to hear them. Pass some his way Darrell.

Daddy Dancing with his baby girl

Forever our Hero

Forever Our Hero, Forever Our Angel

The only hope, the strongest desire is to look
ahead, to the day when God will calls us home. When we pass over to that blessed place that God has provided, when that moment comes and we hear the voice of Darrell calling to us, with love, "Over here Mom, Lissa, Derick, Leo, Katie, Jared (One at a time as we pass) I'm over here".

Then, the pain will end and the joy of reunion will begin.

Barney

"Darrell and Katie"

When Katie was a Toddler she loved

Barney. Darrell had fun singing the

songs with her. Today, I sing the

same songs to his son Jared.

From Darrell's Memory

"From Darrell's Memory"

When ,Darrell was a young new

father , working as a security guard at the dog track.

He, Jennie, Eric and

Katie lived in a tiny apartment. Darrell always told

me a story. How, when Katie was a baby she would fall

asleep on his chest . While, he layed on his back and

shook his feet. He would be so tired but, if he stopped

his

feet she would wake up and scream. He would be

startled awake and would keep on shaking those feet.

I keep this memory dear for his daughter Kathylynn Elizabeth Gillis. I hold

this memory close to share with the son that will never know him

Two years in Heaven

My Brother two years in Heaven"

Born to eternal peace this day May 14,2005

onto God his wings were spread. Today, is

a day for mourning for all who love and

miss my brother. He imprinted our lives

with his kind soul and fun heart. His

smile and voice lives in our memories.

His

personality shines through in his

daughter. His goofy nature comes through

in his son. This day, together we share

our broken hearts to pay tribute to the

man we called Son, Brother, Dad and

Uncle.

In doing so we honor his children

Kathlynn

Elizabeth and Jared Darrell. For they are

his legacy. To none any greater Darrell's

ability to love. This day of forever

mourning we hold eachother close and

Darrell's memory even closer. He may not

walk this earth but, his spirit embraces

us

all. Rest in Peace "D". I hope you had

the time of your life. Lissa

Fourth of July 2007

Fourth of July 2007

missed forever by mom

I know your fireworks are the best you have ever seen

in heaven. I know your partying with Jim, Jodie, Sara

and Steve and all the new friends you have met and

knowing you that's a lot. I know you miss us and I'm Glad

time goes by faster for you than us. And I know in time

we will be there enjoing it with you. But, for now

holidays are just a day, I miss you.

"Always Remembered"

"Always Remembered"

I know I am still with you in your prayers, your

thoughts, your heart. And though you cannot

see me, I will always be a part of life's sweet

celebrations in those times when you reflect on

how, though things are different, through our

love, we still connect. We'll see each other

someday when our spirits all are free, until

then , I am with you because you remember

me.

From my Heart to Darrell

From my Heart to DARRELL

Because, you were there and had always been I wasn't concious of our bond. Now that you have moved on I know exactly the depth of that bond. Everyday, when I awaken it's there, when I shower it's there, when I dress it's there, while feeding and dressing the kids it's there, when I drive it's there, when I work it's there and as I lay to sleep it's there. There is the place in my heart that only knows you and longs each and everyday to be unconcious of a world without you. Darrell I miss your eyes and your smile. To only hold your face again. God give me the strength. Lissa

Supernovas

"SUPERNOVAS"

A supernova is an explosion marking the end of a stars

evolution. For the star, a supernova is a quick and glorious

death. In the last few minutes of its life the star releases more

energy than it has generated in its entire existence, brightens

to several billion times of the sun, and radiates energy at a

greater rate than all other stars in the galaxy combined.

When I think of Darrell's beauty as a person only a

supernova

could compare to his death.
